Deacon Will Henry Lockett, Sr., age 84. died Sunday, March 22. 2009 at his residence. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Antioch Dempsey Missionary Baptist Church in Eastman with Pastor Prince Dawson officiating. Interment followed in Hunt's Cemetery. Deacon Lockett joined Antioch Dempsey Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He has served on the usher board, on various committees and served as a deacon on the deacon board. He worked as a carpenter all his life. He enjoyed riding in his pick-up truck, fanning, fishing, and refinishing antique furniture. He and his wife were foster parents and were named Foster Parents of the Year in 1996. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Isaiah Lockett and his daughter, Ruby Faye Beck. Survivors include his wife; children; granddaughter; one sister; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; one great aunt; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers were ...
