Daniel Hugh Mason, age 67, died Thursday, December 10, 2009 at the Veterans Hospital in Washington, DC Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Mount Moriah Baptist Church with minister Frank Drakes officiating. Interment followed in Eastman Cemetery. Mr. Mason attended church and public school in Richmond, Virginia. He served in the U. S. Anny for 14years and was honorably discharged in the 94th Air Defense Artillery Group. He also volunteered and coached little league baseball in Alexandria, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Elizabeth Mason; his wife, Emma Lee Pitts-Mason; and two sisters, Barbara Loretta Mason and Brenda Giant. Survivors include three children; three grandchildren; mother-in-law; brother; sister; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; two special nephews. Serving as honorary pallbearers were ...
