Barbara Edge Broome, age 65, of Fairburn died Sunday, May 24, 2009. Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 in the chapel of Parrott Funeral Home, Interment followed in Holly Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Vicki Smith officiating. Mrs. Broome, a native of Dodge County, was a 1961 graduate of Dodge County High School, a graduate of Georgia Baptist Nursing School and a registered nurse. She worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mattilu Walker Edge and James E. Edge. Survivors include her husband; daughter; son; two brothers; and three grandchildren.
