Ruth Self Kirkpatrick, age 80, of Eastman died Sunday, January 11, 2009 in Community Hospice Center in Vidalia. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2009 in Southerland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Fred Parker and Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Giddens-Harrell Cemetery. Mrs. Kirkpatrick, a native of Dodge County, was a member of Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church, a homemaker and retired employee of Dexter Sportswear. She was widow of Fletcher Swearingen and B. J. , Kirkpatrick and was preceded in death by sons, Glenn Swearingen and Wayne Kirkpatrick, a grandson. Al Dominy and son-in-law, Alfred Dominy. Survivors include her seven daughters; three sons; one sister; two brothers; 22 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren also survive. Musicians for the funeral service were the ...
