WILL OF WILLIAM HAMILTON I, William Hamilton being of advanced age and knowing I must soon depart this life make my last will and testament. Item 1. I give my soul to God and my body to be buried in a Christian manner. Item 2. My debts are to be paid without delay. Item 3. To my wife Elizabeth with whom I have lived for a number of years, the lots of land where I live numbered 5 and 26 in the 15th dist. containing 405 acres, during her natural life. Also all my farming tools, two horses, 50 cows and calves, all the corn and fodder now growing, all my hogs east of the Oakmulgee River, all my sheep, geese and chickens, my horse cart and all my furniture. Item. To my wife I give my negro woman Susan and her children Cloey and George during her lifetime. Item. To my children ... all my negroes, not already named being ... to be divided in shares as near as equal as possible and drawn for. Also to the above heirs, all my lands in different counties of the state, my hogs west of the Oakmulgee, my cattle except the 50 cows and calves for my wife, all my horses except two for my wife all my oxen and carts to be sold or divided as my executors think best. Two hundred dollars is to be reserved to support and educate my minor son Warren. Item. The portion going to my daughters is to be from disposition by their husbands. Item.
