MRS. JENNIFER “JENNY” YAWN ROGERS, age 71, of Rhine, GA, died Monday, December 18, 2023, at her residence. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Jenny was born in McRae, GA in 1952 and was of the Baptist faith. She was raised in Telfair County and attended West Telfair Academy. She received a cosmetology degree from Ben Hill Irwin Tech and later owned and operated her own beauty salon for many years. Mrs. Rogers then worked several jobs over the years including Food Service Manager with the Georgia Department of Corrections. She was a dedicated wife and a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, spending time with her family, and taking care of her canine companion, Daisy. Jenny was the daughter of the late Maudetta Spires Yawn and John T. Yawn, and was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Yawn Foskey, and brother, Johnny Yawn. She is survived by her Husband of 48 years; 2 Daughters; Son; 1 Step-Daughter; 5 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandson; Brother; Brother-In-Law; Several Nieces and Nephews.
