MR. DALE W. WHITLEY, age 73, of Milledgeville, GA, died Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Atrium Health in Baldwin County. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date. Dale was born in Macon, GA, on October 10, 1951, and of the Christian faith. He attended Lanier High School before joining the United States Army. After his service, he was a retired maintenance worker with Delta Air Lines. Dale was a girls basketball coach, winning multiple championships while in the Army. He also was an avid softball player and is in the ASA Hall of Fame. He resided at the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville, GA. Mr. Whitley was the son of the late Hazel Crenshaw Whitley and Harold Whitley and was preceded in death by his Sister, Marcia Wood. He is survived by his Daughter; Son; Grandson; Brothers; Several Nieces and Nephews. The family may be contacted at the residence.
