MS. WENDI GISELE HILLIARD, age 67, of Abbeville, GA, died Sunday, September 18, 2022, at the Dodge County Hospital . A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, September 22, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Mr. Gary Ryals officiating. Wendi was born in McRae and raised in Rhine and a member of Blockhouse Baptist Church. She was a 1972 graduate of Dodge County High School, received her associate degree from Middle Georgia College in business and marketing education, a former inspector in two divisions and an administrative assistant for the State of Georgia Department of Agriculture. She loved animals, had a passion for music, and enjoyed playing the piano and guitar. She was a former pianist for Sweet Home Baptist Church and had been the current pianist for Blockhouse Baptist Church for the past five years. Wendi was the daughter of the late Frances Barfield Hilliard and T.F. “Red” Hilliard and was preceded in death by 2 Beloved Nephews, Jesse Hilliard and Jake Boney. She is survived by her 3 Children; 6 Grandchildren; 2 Sisters; Brother; Nieces and Nephews; Numerous Cousins and Friends. The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:00PM-2:00PM Thursday, September 22.
