Obituary

JACK RANDALL “RANDY” JONES, age 66, of Milan, GA, died Thursday, May 15, 2025, in Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, GA. Funeral services will be held at 4:00PM Monday, May 19, in Milan Church of God, with Rev. Dennis Johnson, Rev. Quint Shepherd, Sister Charletta Wilcox, and Bishop Ralph Horne officiating, with interment in the Jones Family Cemetery in Milan. Randy was born on August 26, 1958, in Macon, GA. He was of the Christian Faith and was a lifelong resident of Dodge County. After high school in 1976, he went to work in the family business, Quality Saw Works. He helped his father and brothers build a successful business that has survived and thrived for over three generations. Randy became the owner and operator in 2020. He was a hard worker and a provider for his family. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, trips to the mountains, and mission work through the years. Randy leaves this quote to all, “I have figured out this world is not my home, I was only passing through.” He was preceded in death by his Father, Jack C. Jones, Grandson, Jaxson Jones, Stepfather, Jimmy Taylor, Brother, Rodney Jones, and Sister-in-law, Erica Stapleton Jones. Survivors include his Wife of 42 years; 4 Children; 11 Grandchildren; Mother; 2 Brothers; 3 Sisters; Step-Brother; Step-Sisters; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces and Nephews, and Cousins. The family may be contacted at the Jones residence and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 3:00PM-6:00PM Sunday, May 18.
