MR. GEORGE FRED MCCOOK, age 78, of Eastman, GA, died Monday, March 28, 2022, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin. Mr. McCook was born in Macon, GA, a resident of the Roddy community of Dodge County and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. McCook was a 1962 graduate of Dudley Hughes High School in Macon and a veteran of the United States Army. During his time of service, he was stationed in California and Hawaii. Fred was a Civil Service employee for Robins Air Force Base, working in electronics for 31 years before his retirement in 1999. After retirement the family moved back home from Lake Sinclair to Eastman. Mr. McCook was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed woodworking and fishing, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 41 years; 3 Sons; 1 Sister and several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews. The family will hold a memorial service at a later time. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Mr. McCook’s memory to Bethel Baptist Church. The family may be contacted at the McCook residence.
