MRS. DONNA GAY BENNETT, age 63, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Dodge County Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Friday, January 6, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Myron Parkerson officiating. Donna was born in Dublin, a member of Freedom Worship Center, and a homemaker. She worked for several years as a waitress at the Huddle House in Eastman in her younger years. She loved going out to eat with her sister to Cracker Barrell and the Huddle House. She also loved her animals, spending time with her family, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her new great-granddaughter, who was her heart. Donna was the daughter of the late Faye Batts Gay and Donald Gay and was preceded in death by her Husband, Willie “Bud” Bennett, a Daughter, Jessica Bennett, and Grandparents, Robert and Annie Pearl Batts. She is survived by her Daughter; Grandchildren; Great-Granddaughter; Sister; Brother; Nieces and Nephews; Canine Companions – Gypsy Rose, Dumby, and Poo Poo; Numerous Cousins and Friends. The family may be contacted at the residence and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:00PM-3:00PM Friday, January 6.
