MR. JOHN PHILLIP LEWIS, age 73, of Jackson, SC, died Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, February 29, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Max Rodgers officiating. Phillip was a native of Chauncey, of the Baptist Faith, a graduate of Dodge County High School, and a retired radiological control technician for the Department of Energy at the Savannah River Site. He was a wonderful and loving brother who enjoyed football games and auto racing. He was son of the late Doris McLeod Daniel and Thomas Phillip Lewis and was preceded in death by 9 Siblings, William H. Lewis, Theo Lewis, Wilburn Lewis, Alonzo Lewis, J.B. Lewis, Thurman Lewis, Bernice Smith, Adel Hobbs, and Myrtice Murkerson. Survivors: 2 Sisters; 2 Brothers; Several Nieces and Nephews. The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:00PM-2:00PM Saturday, February 29.
