MRS. CHERI ANNE MARTEL JONES, age 51, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, April 11, 2024, at her residence. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, April 20, 2024, in Southerland Funeral Chapel in Eastman with Mr. Hank Sapp officiating. Cheri was born in Warner Robins, GA, attended Dodge County High School, attended McRae Presbyterian Church in McRae, GA, and was a homemaker. She worked as a receptionist for Primary Eye Care in Macon, GA for over ten years and later worked as a Servpro Technician for five years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved 80s rock music, flowers, and plants, was a huge animal lover, and a very proud grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was affectionately known as “Nannie Ree” to her grandchildren and “Ree Ree” to her nieces and nephews. Cheri was preceded in death by her Brother, Steven Ronald Martel. She is survived by her Husband; Daughter; Son; Step-Children; Grandchildren; Mother; Father; Brothers; Mother-in-law; Sister-in-law; Several Nieces and Nephews; Aunts and Uncles; Numerous Cousins and Friends.
