MR. JOHN LEVY “POLLY” JOINER, age 81, of Eastman, GA, died Sunday, December 28, 2025, in Eastman, GA. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, December 31, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Arnold Rye officiating. John was a lifelong resident of Dodge County and of the Baptist Faith. He lived in the Godwinsville Community of Dodge County, where he attended Chauncey Elementary School. He was later drafted into the U.S. Army and served his country abroad for several years. He returned home and worked as a carpenter for many years, working for several area companies and crews. He was a father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, who enjoyed fishing, watching old westerns, Atlanta Braves Baseball, and professional boxing, and was affectionately known as “Polly” to his family and friends. John was the son of the late Vida Pearl Wright Joiner and Mose Joiner and was preceded in death by a Brother, Linder Joiner, Sister, Margie Joiner Avila, Companion of 12 years, Linda Adams Coleman, Nephew, Dale Joiner, and a Great-Nephew, Morgan Cole Sheffield. He is survived by Son; Step-Children; Grandchildren; Great-Grandson; Sister; Brother, both of Eastman; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
