MRS. RITA COLEEN WHEDDLE EARLEY, age 91, of Eastman, GA, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Dodge County Hospital. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Mrs. Earley was born in Wheatland, Indiana, in 1931 and was of the Methodist faith. She was a High School graduate. After High School, she married her U.S. Air Force husband and lived in many places including Texas, Illinois, Japan, Florida, Alaska, and California, before settling in Florida in the 1970s. Mrs. Earley was a homemaker and assisted her husband with his working ventures. They moved to Eastman in the late 1980s and made their life here for 35 years. Mrs. Earley was a dedicated wife, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and family and loved gardening and working around their home. Coleen was the daughter of Guy Lanning and Margurite Thompson Lanning, and was preceded in death by her Husband, Robert Eugene Earley, and Sister, Linda Lanning. She is survived by her Son; 2 Daughters; 2 Granddaughters, 9 Great-Grandchildren. The family may be contacted at the residence.
