WANDA DEAN BIGELOW GILES, age 59, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, December 31, 2022, at her residence. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Giles was born in Newnan, GA, in 1963 and was a member of Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Cedar Grove. She was a graduate of Perry High School, where she lived with her family during her formative years. After she graduated, she received her CNA from a school in Warm Springs, GA. She raised three boys and worked in Atlanta at Shamrock Nursing Home for several years. She moved her family to Eastman in the mid-1980s. Wanda then met Earl Woodard in the early 1990s and worked at Middle Georgia Nursing Home for 19 years and Heart of Georgia for several years before working for Dodge County Hospital until she retired in 2021. She was a loving sister, companion, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed fishing, watching TV, swimming, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was preceded in death by her Sister, Vicki Maxine Payne and her Sister-In-Law, Sheila Woodard. She is survived by her Companion of 30 years; 3 Sons; 4 Grandchildren; 3 Sisters; Aunt; Uncle; In-Laws; Several Nieces and Nephews. The family may be contacted at the Giles residence.
