STATESBORO -- Mrs. Margaret Corine Braddy, age 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 2, 2011, under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. The Chauncey, Ga., native moved to Statesboro in 1973 until 1995, then resided in Oliver, Ga., and Alma, Ga., before returning to Statesboro in 2006. She had been a resident of the Eagle Health and Rehab in Statesboro. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Braddy was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by: her husband of 61 years, Hugh Braddy; her parents, Mary Elizabeth and Alton Evans, and two brothers, Tommy Evans and James Evans. Surviving are: a daughter and son-in-law; four sons and three daughters-in-law; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, and special friends. The family will receive visitors from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the Friendship Baptist Church Fellowship Hall and from 1:30 until 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Braddy Family Cemetery. Graveside services and burial will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Braddy Family Cemetery in Higgston, Ga., with the Rev. Tom Osborne officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be.
