MRS. MARY ANN PITTS O’NEAL, age 72, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at her residence. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00PM Saturday, January 22, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Rev. Lewis Harrell officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mary Ann was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member of Eastside Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She was a waitress at Buck’s Grill for many years. Mary Ann then worked in home healthcare, helping numerous families at their homes over the years. She was a dedicated wife and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family, who was affectionately known as “Granny Ann” to her grandchildren. She enjoyed working in her yard and tending flowers, shopping, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed spending time and spoiling her little pup “Skippy”. Mary Ann was the daughter of the late Nancy Corine Famer Strickland and Richard Jefferson Pitts and was preceded in death by her Step-Father, George Strickland, Son, Ricky Black, Niece, Lisa Sanders, and Nephew, David Sanders. She is survived by her Husband of 21 years; Son; Grandson; Step-Grandson; Great-Grandchildren; Step-Great-Grandchildren; Sister; Niece and Nephews; Several Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews; Numerous Cousins and Friends. The family may be contacted at the O’Neal residence and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:00PM-3:00PM Saturday, January 22.
