MR. CURTIS DANIEL SHEFFIELD, age 82, of Eastman, GA, died Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Friday, October 20, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jack Lee, Rev. Greg Farmer, Rev. Ron Jones, and Rev. Royce McClelland officiating, with interment in Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery. Curtis was born in Milan, GA and a lifelong resident of Dodge County. He was a 1962 graduate of Dodge County High School, member and deacon of Liberty Baptist Church, and a machinist at Armstrong World Industries for over thirty-six years, before retiring in 1999. He was a Christian man who loved his church and helped with the Carpenters for Christ ministry for many years. He enjoyed raising chickens and tending to his coop. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. Curtis was an avid sports fan who loved watching the Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, and Atlanta Falcons. He was a true family man who loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s ballgames and special events. He was the son of the late Mattie Ethel Jones Sheffield and Albert Sheffield and was preceded in death by his Son, Donnie Curtis Sheffield, Grandson, Rory Wood, Jr, Brother, John Robert Sheffield, and his Stepmother, Madie Jones Sheffield. He is survived by his Wife of 63 years; 3 Daughters; Daughter-in-law; Grandchildren; Great-Grandchildren; Brother; Sister-in-law; Aunts and Uncles; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. The family may be contacted at the residence and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Thursday, October 19.
