Robert Adrian McRae, age 86, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 25, 2023. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 1:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Cochran, Georgia. He will be laid to rest at Yearty Cemetery in Roddy. Bob was born March 9, 1937, in Ankeny, Iowa, the son of the late Mr Cecil and Vena McRae. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Malley and Jean Kuskulis. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife; sons, and daughter. 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. Brothers and Sister in Laws and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob graduated from Ankeny High School and was honorably discharged from the United States Navy. He served a 2 year Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Great Lakes Mission. He graduated from Brigham Young University with Bachelors of Science with a Masters of Fine Art. Bob loved his family, church and quietly giving service to others. His name and legacy will live on for many generations. He will be greatly missed as the Patriarch of the McRae Clan. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Bleckley County School Vocational Department in his honor.
