MRS. LINDA HENDRIX MULLIS, age 68, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Dodge County Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, February 18, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Tim Hicks officiating, with interment at 3:00PM in Good Hope Cemetery in Naylor, GA. Mrs. Mullis was born in Eastman and was of Holiness faith. She was a Valdosta Times News Carrier for over 30 years and a retired textile spinner, working over 20 years for Reeves Brothers, Strickland Mills and Wilkerson Textiles. She was a dedicated wife of 53 years, a loving mother, sister and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Linda was an ordained minister who loved studying the word of Christ and also enjoyed spending time with her animals, who she affectionately called her fur babies. She was daughter of the late Catheline May Hendix and Edward Joel “Red” Hendrix and was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Russell Mullis, step-mother, Peggy Deloach Hendrix, and brother, James Edward Hendrix. Survivors: 3 Sons – Larry Wayne Mullis of Valdosta, Michael Ray Mullis of Eastman, and James Joel Mullis (Monica) of Hahira; 4 Grandchildren – Anna Marie Lee, Christopher Wayne Mullis, Neva Diane Mullis, and Nathan Mullis; 4 Great-Grandchildren – Harley Mullis, Ryder Mullis, Logan Howell and Sawyer Luke Altobello; 3 Sisters – Jeanell English, Ramona Evans (Jack), and Mary Dean Hendrix; Brother – Clayton Hendrix; 2 Sisters-in-Law – Rhonda Hall and Susan Clark; Brother-in-Law – Rusty Mullis (Joanne); Numerous Nieces and Nephews. The family may be contacted at the residence of Jeanell English, 381 Rozar Goolsby Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Monday, February 18.
