MRS. BEVERLY ILENE McCRANIE BARRENTINE, age 73, of Marietta, GA, died Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice of Kennesaw Mountain in Marietta, GA. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM Friday, September 24, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Ben Waller and Rev. Clay Cox officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Beverly was born and raised in Eastman, GA, a member of Central Baptist Church in Eastman, a graduate of Dodge County High School, and a graduate of Middle Georgia College and Atlanta Business School. She worked as a Nursing Home Administrator for over 35 years at various nursing homes including, Heart of Georgia Nursing Home, Middle Georgia Nursing Home, Shamrock Health and Rehab, Fort Valley Nursing Home, Hartley Woods Nursing Home, and Jesup Nursing Home. She raised her family in Eastman, in the community she loved, and enjoyed her work, where she got to help many individuals over the years and made many lasting friendships. She was a loving mother, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt who also enjoyed gardening and tending her plants, and spending time with her girls and her extended family. In 2019, Beverly moved to Marietta to be closer to her family. She was the daughter of the late Edna Dowdy McCranie and C.L. Buddy McCranie and was preceded in death by a Brother, Wendell McCranie and her Mother-in-law, Olethia G. Barrentine. She is survived by her 2 Daughters – Lisa Barrentine and Brooke Barrentine Billa (Vikas Reddy) of Marietta; 3 Sisters-in-law – Jean Carol B. Cox, Jane B. Floyd (Buddy), both of Warner Robins, and Gerry McCranie (John Phillips) of Eastman; Nephew – Keith McCranie (Ginger) of Perry; Nieces – Pam McCranie of Eastman and Carmen McCranie of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Great-Niece – Marli McCranie of Vidalia; Best Friend – Condra Woods of Eastman; Numerous Cousins and Friends. The family may be contacted at the residence of Brooke Barrentine, 4927 Locklear Way, Marietta, GA 30066 and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:00PM-2:00PM Friday, September 24.
