Mr. John R. "Bobby" Maddox, age 84, of Chauncey, Georgia died Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at the Dodge County Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2022 at the chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Orphans Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 til 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Maddox was born March 7, 1938 in Eastman, Georgia to the late Addie Lee Jones and H.M. Maddox. He was of the Baptist Faith, a United States Navy Veteran and retired from Robins Air Force Base, after which, he was a security guard at Middle Georgia College. He loved flea markets and yard sales. He is survived by daughters; one sister; twenty-four graeat grandchildren; canine companions, Troy, Rob, Radar, and Snoopy. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Buck Maddox, granddaughter, Lisa Maddox, and brothers, Buddy Maddox and Claude Maddox. The family can be reached at the residence.
