MR. JOHN WILL ROBERSON, age 79, of Dawsonville, GA, formerly of Fitzgerald , GA, died Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, July 17, at Sand Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Mark Sweat officiating. John was born in Eastman, GA, in 1945. He was a 1963 graduate of Reidsville High School and later graduated from technical school in Americus, GA, where he studied business. He was a member of Dorminy’s Mill Baptist Church in Fitzgerald, GA. He enjoyed a successful career in sales and retired after 25 years with Lowell Packing Company in Fitzgerald, GA. John was the son of the late Effie Jo Hobbs Roberson and John L. Roberson and was preceded in death by his Wife of 51 years, Hazel Brown Roberson, Daughter-in-law, Jennifer Roberson, and Siblings, Edith Sweat, Russell Roberson, Earl Roberson, Steve Roberson, and an infant brother. He is survived by his Daughter – Jill R. Alexander (David) of Dawsonville, GA; Son - Destrey Roberson of Dawsonville, GA; 5 Grandchildren – Gaven Alexander, Gage Alexander, Annesty Alexander, Caleb Roberson, and Ava Roberson; 3 Great-Grandchildren Emberlyn Alexander, Gunner Alexander, and Jonaven Baker; Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law – Patsy Brown Mayo and Horace Pitts, both of Eastman, GA; Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to the Gideons International Bible Fund.
