Sallie Lou Bowen Holmes Milledgeville, georgia- Sallie Lou Bowen Holmes, a long-time resident of Milledgeville, died at the age of 90 on Thursday, July 13, 2017, surrounded by her family. Born in Ocala, Florida, on October 23, 1926, Sallie was the daughter of David Wright Bowen and Minnie Jordan Bowen. She lived in Georgia most of her life and was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Edward Holmes. She is survived by her daughter, her son, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home in Milledgeville, Georgia. Interment will be private.
