Mrs. Jessie I. Bearden, age 87, of Eastman, formerly of Fayetteville, Georgia, died Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Heart of Georgia Nursing Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2021 in the Chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home with Rev. Grayton Helms officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Bearden was born August 27, 1934 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Vivian Glaze Green and Sylvester J. Green. Before moving to Eastman in 2016, she lived in Fayetteville, Georgia most of her life. She retired from Arrow Shirt Company. She loved cooking and baking and after retirement, she operated a fruit and vegetable stand. She is survived by children; grandchildren.
