MRS. TAMMY KNIGHT SHEFFIELD, age 52, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, November 23, 2023, at Dodge County Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, November 26, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Ron Whittington and Rev. Matt Rutland officiating, with interment in Plainfield Baptist Cemetery. Tammy was born in Dublin, GA, of the Baptist Faith, a 1989 graduate of Dodge County High School, and received her LPN degree from Heart of Georgia Technical College. She worked as a nurse at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home for over eighteen years and also worked for Dr. Monroe Middlebrooks for many years. She was a former nurse at Pinewood Manor Nursing Home and Eastman Healthcare and Rehab and had over thirty years of combined service. Her passion was taking care of people, and she enjoyed her time as a nurse. Tammy enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing on the river with her husband, camping, and taking care of her grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Ralph Knight. She is survived by her Husband of 32 years; 3 Sons; Grandchildren; Mother; Sister; Brother; Sister-In-Law; and Aunts; Several Nieces and Nephews. The family may be contacted at the residence and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:00PM-3:00PM Sunday, November 26.
