MRS. METHYL PARKER JOINER, age 91, of Milan, GA, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, January 29, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, in Rhine, with Rev. Michael Miller and Rev. Steve Fournier officiating. Mrs. Joiner was born in McRae, GA, a member of Eastman First Baptist Church, a graduate of Milan High School, and a graduate of Georgia Teachers College in Statesboro, GA. She was a former dental hygienist in McRae for over 10 years, a former educator for the Dodge County Board of Education for many years, and was a piano teacher for many years. She loved her country and God, enjoyed writing poetry, writing songs and stories, and was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Methyl was the daughter of the late Fannie Mae Cravey Parker and Paul Parker, widow of Edsel A. Joiner, and was preceded in death by her Son, Terry R. “Randy” Joiner, Sr. She is survived by her 3 Grandchildren; 10 Great-Grandchildren; Brother; Her Caretakers; Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Integrity Hospice, 101 West Jackson Street, Dublin, GA 31021. Mrs. Joiner will lie-in-state from 11:00AM-3:00PM Thursday, January 28, at Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home.
