Memorial services for Marty Glenn Sawyer, 51, of Cochran, who died Saturday, June 30, 2018, after a short battle with cancer surrounded by family. A service will be held Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Fisher Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Brooks and Rev. Jeff Dykes officiating. The family has requested in Marty's honor that casual colorful attire be worn to the celebration of life service. Marty was the loving son of Glenn Sawyer and Irma L. Greene. He was born in Laurens County and lived in Cochran, Georgia. He was a 1984 graduate of Bleckley County High School and attended Middle Georgia College. Marty was involved with Middle Georgia Pools and former employee of The Pool Store in Cochran. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Cochran. Marty is survived by: father; mother; sister; brother; nephew and niece; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
