Teresa Darlene Caruthers, age 62, of Eastman, Georgia, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 2, 2023 at Hardy-Towns Chapel with Interment to follow in Orphans Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the funeral home. Darlene was born July 7, 1960 in Folkston, Georgia. Darlene retired from McRae Correctional Facility, was a member at Gresston Baptist Church, but is most known for her career in Cosmetology. She obtained various degrees and licenses, including a Masters level education, in Cosmetology but learned most of her skills while working and interacting with her many loyal customers. She was also an integral part in establishing the Cosmetology course load at Oconee Fall Line Technical College. Darlene was also known for her fun-loving personality. She made a friend of all those she associated with and had a way of lighting up any room she entered. Darlene is survived by her husband; children. She is also survived by her mother. Darlene is survived by her grandchildren that she loved dearly. She is also survived by siblings; sisters-in-law. Darlene is predeceased by her biological father and her adoptive father Clifford Raymond Ross; sisters, Martha Ann Cartrette, Lesa Jean Cartrette; grandmothers, Regina T.
