Obituary
Danny Lamar Veal, age 61, of Cochran, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 in the Augusta V .A. Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2009 in Southerland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wendell Dell Hamrick and Rev. Lewis Harrell officiating. Interment followed in New Union Cemetery.
Mr. Veal was bom in Telfair County, was a member of Jay Springs Baptist Church, a U. S. Army Veteran and a former employee of Wholesale Builders Supply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Howard Veal Dykes and Eschol Veal; a sister, Shelby Jean Harrell; and a brother, Howard Veal.
Survivors include his wife; one son; two step-sons; three sisters; three brothers; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and two, grandchildren.
