MR. RONNIE ALLEN DOWDY, age 52, of Eastman, GA, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the Dodge County Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Thursday, November 17, at Hopewell Baptist Church, with Rev. Gerald Conley officiating, with interment in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Ronnie was born in McRae, of the Baptist Faith, and attended Hopewell Baptist church in his younger years. He was raised in Rhine, GA and worked as a carpenter and roofer for many years. He loved his family and enjoyed attending family gatherings and spending time with his many cousins and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and helping others in need. Ronnie was the son of the late Lorell Keene Dowdy Calhoun and Weldon H. Dowdy and was preceded in death by his siblings, James Thomas Dowdy, Michael Dowdy, and Faye Dowdy Bohannon. He is survived by his Companion; 5 Sisters; 2 Brothers; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces, and Great-Nephews; 2 Aunts; Numerous cousins including his best friend and cousin. The family will receive friends in Hopewell Baptist Church from 12:00PM-1:00PM Thursday, November 17.
