MRS. PICKREN SUCCUMBS TO PNEUMONIA.
Mrs. Mary M. Pickren, 81 years old resident of Rhine, Route One, died at her home February 12 of pneumonia. She was a native of Telfair County, but had resided in Dodge the past 60 years.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Rhine Church by Rev C. L. Neese. Hymns were sung by T. K. Carroll, Grady Cook, Mrs. Ben Seigler and Mrs. R. J. Studstill, with Mrs. C. C. Dinkins accompanist. Pallbearers were W. A. Mizell, Craig Mizell, Frank Cravey, Junior Conley, Dan Cravey and Gene Willcox. Interment was in Rhine Cemetery.
Mrs. Pickren is survived by four sons, J. C., E. M., S. A., and W. L. Pickren, of Rhine; three daughters, Misses Lizzie and Maggie Pickren of Rhine, and Mrs. Ruth Brown of Miln; one brother L. M. Cravey, Milan; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Moore of Chauncey, and Mrs. Emma Garrison, McRae; also 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
