MRS. SARA BONESE “BONNIE” PITTMAN COWART, age 78, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, December 21, at Gresston Baptist Church, with Dr. Paul Cowles and Dr. Donnie Sutton officiating, with interment in Gresston Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Cowart was a native of Rhine, a member of Gresston Baptist Church, and a retired office worker for Wal-Mart, Inc. for over 20 years. She was a faithful and devoted Christian lady who loved her church dearly. She was an active church worker for over 12 years, loved singing in church, and served as a former Sunday School teacher for many years. Bonnie enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, and served as a volunteer counselor at the Eastman Christian Life Center. She was daughter of the late Mamie Sue Hilliard Pittman and Alec Pittman, widow of Calvin Cowart, and was preceded in death by an Infant Son and 2 Siblings, Alma Singletary and M.A. Pittman. Survivors: Sister; 3 Brothers; Nieces and Nephews; Numerous Friends. The family may be contacted at the residence and will receive friends in Gresston Baptist Church from 1:00PM-2:00PM Saturday, December 21. In addition to flowers, the family request contributions to Gideons International Bible Fund.
