Dublin – George Tillman Douglas, age 96, died Saturday, November 21, 2020, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, November 23, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Dodge County with military honors. Mr. Douglas, born in Ideal, GA, had lived in Dublin 61 years. He was the son of the late Thomas Henry and Ruby Balchin Douglas, was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Stinson Douglas, his sisters, Elizabeth Douglas Bryant and Thelma Ruth Douglas Rogers, his brother, Sonny Douglas and his great-grandson Joshua Lee Rowland. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a retired aircraft sheet metal instructor at Zantop in Eastman. Mr. Douglas was a United States Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion. Survivors are his children; grandchildren; great granddaughter and great-great grandson; several nieces and nephews. The family is at and will greet friends after the service Monday at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
