MR. PAUL HARRIS BRANTLEY, JR., age 71, of Chauncey, GA, died Sunday, July 30, 2023. A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00PM-7:00PM Wednesday, August 2, at Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home. Paul will be laid to rest at Cottondale Baptist Church Cemetery. Paul was born in Milan, GA and raised in Chauncey, GA. He was a member of Sugar Creek Congregational Methodist Church and a 1970 graduate of Dodge County High School. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he faithfully served his country for over seven years. Upon leaving the Army he worked as a painter for many years before working at Gilman’s Paper Company for over ten years. He later worked for Little Ocmulgee State Park as a maintenance worker for over ten years. After retiring, Paul enjoyed many enjoyable days fishing, playing golf, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and reading many western novels. He was the son of the late Susie Snelgrove Brantley and Paul Harris Brantley, Sr., and was preceded in death by his Wife of 48 years, Lynn Ellen Wright Brantley and Sister, Betty Jo Veal. He is survived by his Daughter; 3 Sons; 8 Grandchildren; Sister; Brother; Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
