MR. DENNIS EDWARD SIMMONS, age 59, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, November 8, 2019 at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday November 13 in Cottondale Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Hendley officiating with interment in Cottondale Cemetery. Mr. Simmons was born in Macon, GA and was a member of Antioch # 1 Baptist Church. Dennis served his country in the U.S. Army as a 82nd Airborne paratrooper. He was a former HVAC installation specialist for Dodge Heating & Air and had worked in the past as a Rayonier chip mill crane operator, over the road trucker, and a log truck driver. He was a loving and dedicated father to his children who enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father Wendell Simmons. Survivors: His Mother; Daughter; Son; Step Daughter; Sister; Brother; 3 Step-Sisters; 4 Grandchildren; Aunt; Several Nieces and Nephews. The family may be contacted at the residence and will receive friends 30 minutes before the services in Cottondale Baptist Church on Wednesday.
