MRS. MELINDA FAIRCLOTH NIBLETT, age 76, of Cochran, GA, died Thursday, June 6, 2019 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, June 9, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Elder Willie Hatfield and Rev. John Faircloth officiating, with interment in Giddens-Harrell Cemetery. Mrs. Niblett was born in Vidalia, a member of Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church, a 1960 graduate of Dodge County High School, a former civil service employee of Robins AFB for several years, and a homemaker. She loved sewing, decorating, traveling, tending to her flowers, and spending time with her husband and family. She was daughter of the late Nina Giddens Faircloth and Larry Faircloth and was preceded in death by 2 Sisters, Barbara Stanton and Reba Giddens. Survivors: Husband of 49 years – Larry Niblett of Cochran; Sister – Jennie Huckaby (Marshall) of Perry; Brother – John Faircloth (Shirley) of North Augusta, SC; Nieces and Nephews – Edward Stanton, Wanda Faircloth Holland, Timothy Faircloth, David Faircloth, Stephen Huckaby, Brian Huckaby, Gary Wilson, and Wanda Wagner; Numerous Cousins and Friends. The family may be contacted at the Niblett residence, 135 Robin Rd., Cochran, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Saturday, June 8.
