MRS. LIZZIE JANE BURNAM MULLIS, age 85, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, January 6, 2022, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, January 9, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Ricky Anderson and Rev. Will Carter officiating, with interment in Bowers Cemetery in Empire. Mrs. Mullis was born in Rhine, of the Baptist Faith, a former employee at Goody’s for over 10 years, and a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working on word search puzzles, making pecan raisin cakes and apple tarts, and watching her soap operas. She was the daughter of the late Susie Odom Burnam and Orrus Burnam, and was preceded in death by her Husband, Bose Crosby Mullis, Daughter, Brenda Guevara, and 2 Sons, Winfred C. Mullis, and Stacey O. Mullis, and 3 Sisters, Mary Lee Horne, Arlene Oxley, and Nettie Hodge. She is survived by her Son; Son-in-law; 3 Grandchildren; 2 Great-Grandchildren; Sister-in-law; Several Nieces and Nephews. The family may be contacted at the residence and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:30PM-3:00PM Sunday, January 9.
