Mr. Stanley "Stan" Cranford, 82, of Worth County, died on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Tift Regional Medical Center. The graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 8, 2023, at the Bowers Cemetery in Empire, Georgia. The Rev. Tony Howell will officiate. Mr. Cranford was born on March 27, 1941 in Cochran, Georgia, to the late Herbert B. and Christine Wynne Cranford. He had lived in Worth County since 1979 and was a paint contractor. Mr. Cranford enjoyed collecting and restoring old cars and license plates. He loved his Swisher Sweet cigars, tinkering in his shop, and crappie fishing. He also loved spending time with his friends and family, especially with his wife of 56 years. Survivors include his wife; children; step-son; eight grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cranford was preceded in death by his siblings, Wayne Cranford, Jeanette Newman, Leo Cranford, Doug Cranford, Herbert Cranford and Margaret Walker.
