Obituary
MS. CRYSTAL MELISSA “LISA†MOORE, age 63, of Vidalia, GA, died Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA.
A private family graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, April 12, at Chauncey City Cemetery, with Rev. Stephen Upchurch officiating.
Ms. Moore was born and raised in Chauncey, of the Christian Faith, and a 1976 graduate of Dodge County High School. She attended Berry College in Rome, GA and graduated with a bachelor's degree in English Literature and earned her Master’s in Library Science from the University of Tennessee. She also studied British History at the University of London and worked as a librarian for many years at various colleges and regional libraries. Lisa enjoyed writing, especially short stories, in her early years. She enjoyed reading and was also a great storyteller and had a wonderful and infectious smile, laugh and sense of humor. Lisa was an animal lover which was one of her true passions, in life. She was affectionately known as “Aunt Ceci†to her nieces and nephews and was a loving daughter and sister. She was the daughter of the late Mildred Graham Moore and Wm. Locke Moore and was preceded in death by a nephew, Noah Bell, and recently her beloved pets, Denim, Mitten, and Phoebe.
She is survived by her 2 Sisters; Brother; Nieces and Nephews; Several Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews; 3 Aunts; Numerous First Cousins.
A celebration of life memorial will be held at a later date. In addition to flowers, the family request contributions to Faithful Hearts Animal Shelter, 77 Industrial Blvd., Eastman, GA 31023.
