On the evening of Monday, December 26, 2016, Kathy Floyd Jones, age 59, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Kathy was born in Hawkinsville, Georgia on November 28, 1957 and was raised in Roddy, Georgia. Beautiful, smart, and friendly, she humbly reigned as Homecoming Queen her senior year at Dodge County High School where she graduated with the class of 1975. Kathy went on to earn a Registered Nurse degree from Middle Georgia College in 1977 and happily cared for people in that profession for 40 years. She most recently worked at Lake Bridge Behavioral Health System for 10 years. A resident of Macon for the last 30 years, Kathy was very involved with Thompson Road Baptist Church. There, she showcased her talent as an accomplished pianist and loved praising the Lord. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafts, Facebook, "Bejeweled Blitz," and spending time with her family. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Darren Jones, Sr; and parents, Wilbur and Christine Floyd. Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children; sister; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her devoted granddogs. Visitation will be Thursday, December 29th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30th in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. After the service, Kathy will be laid to rest in Bowers Cemetery in Dodge County, Georgia. The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Kathy to www.bethematch.org.
