Cochran – Luther Ronnie Floyd, age 81, died Tuesday, November 30, 2021, surrounded by his family, in Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 3, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Bowers Cemetery. Mr. Ronnie, born in Dodge County, had lived most of his life in Bleckley County. He was the son of the late Luther B. and Lillie Mae Lucas Floyd. Mr. Ronnie was preceded in death by his sisters, Harriett Mizell and Jackie Messer, his brother, Larry B. Floyd, his brothers and sisters-in-law, Rink Kirkpatrick, Wayne Kirkpatrick, Leon Swain and Nina and Wayne Carlton. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and a US Army veteran. He enjoyed remodeling his Model A Ford. Mr. Ronnie was a member of Empire Baptist Church and attended Limestone Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife; his children; his grandchildren; great grandchildren; his sister; brothers and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews and his loyal lap dog Scotty. The family is at and will greet friends after the service Friday at Mathis Funeral Home.
