Obituary

MRS. DORIS MARY BRYAN SINGLETARY, age 78, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Dodge County Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, February 14, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Mike Grenade officiating, with interment in Singletary Family Cemetery in Eastman. Mrs. Singletary was born and raised in Chester, a member of Greenlawn Baptist Church, and a former textile worker for many years. She worked at C & J Manufacturing for over 20 years, Hanes, Inc. for 7 years, L & H Shirt Company for 10 years, and Easter Seals for 5 years. Mrs. Doris was a volunteer at the Christian Life Center for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed watching football and baseball, cooking, and fishing. She was the daughter of the late Mamie Lee Brady Bryan and Lonnie Andrew “L.A.” Bryan and was preceded in death by her Husband, W.C. Singletary, Grandson, Michael “Rek” Rowland, Sister, Gladys Bryan, 2 Brothers, Clinton Bryan and Alton Bryan, and an Infant Sister, Shirley Bryan, and an infant Brother. She is survived by her 3 Sons; 8 Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Sisters; 2 Brothers; 2 Sisters-in-law; Numerous Nieces and Nephews. The family may be contacted at the residence and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Monday, February 14. In addition to flowers, the family request contributions to Gideons International Bible Fund.
