Mary Evelyn Johnson, age 80, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2023. Mary was born October 5, 1942 in Eastman, Georgia. Ms. Mary is a former resident of Parkwood Developmental Center at Gracewood, Georgia. She also spent many years at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home. While she resided there, she took great enjoyment in the programs and activities that were offered. She was especially fond of playing Bingo and exchanging gifts during the Christmas celebrations. The care and love she received at Heart of Georgia was very special to her and her family. Mary is survived by her sister and several cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, George E. Johnson and Mae Graham Johnson. Funeral services will be graveside on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive guests following the service.
