Melba Faye Bateman Roland, 83, widow of Edward “Buddy†Roland, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, November 21, 2020.
Born in Dodge County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Forest and Iona Pace Bateman.
Survivors include one son; two daughters; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother; six sisters; two sisters-in-law; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Travis Bateman, Donnie Bateman, and Wendell Bateman.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 27, at Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Cochran, GA, conducted by Rev. Scott Lollis. Social Distancing will be observed and masks are recommended.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at The Legacy in Anderson and precious friend and neighbor, for their kindness and loving care given to Mrs. Roland.
