Obituary
Empire – Mrs. Eleanor Barr Pruitt, age 99, died Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 21, 2018, at 3:00 P.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cochran. Burial will be in Pleasant Olive Cemetery in Chester.
Mrs. Pruitt, born in Alma, was the daughter of the late William Denson and Theresa Irene Bussell Barr. She worked as a bookkeeper and store manager and was a graduate of Chester High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Holland Delacy “H.D.†Pruitt. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors are her daughters; foster children; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family is at and will greet friends from 2:00 P.M. until time for the service Sunday at the church.
