Obituary

Judye Robertson Hemphill, age 66, of Eastman, died Thursday, August 27, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2009 in Southerland Funeral Chapel with Dr. Jerry Peele officiating. Interment followed in Woodlawn Cemetery. Ms. Hemphill was born in Dodge County, was a member of First Baptist Church and the Sallie Bacon Sunday school class and was a retired Heart of Georgia RESA Employee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace Wynn Rogers and L. A. Rogers and Hilbert Robertson. Survivors include two daughters; a granddaughter; and a grandson. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 5107 Oak Street, Eastman, or Hospice Care Options, 715 Legion Drive, Eastman, Georgia 31023, Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman was in charge of arrangements.
