MRS. GLORIA JEAN MILLER WISE, age 76, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at the Dodge County Hospital. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, September 10, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Chaplain Doug Stevens officiating. Gloria was born in the Roddy Community of Dodge County, of the Baptist Faith, and attended Dodge County High School. After high school, she married and began her family and worked on the family farm for many years. She also worked as a textile worker at the Shirt Factory in Hawkinsville, GA before later becoming a district manager for a dry-cleaning business in Macon and Warner Robins. She later worked as an associate and department manager for the Wal-Mart Return Center in Macon. Her last job and the one she enjoyed the most was as a manager for Factory Connection in Eastman. She was an avid gardener and loved tending her flowers. She loved to exercise and was a fitness enthusiast. She enjoyed spending time at home with her husband and family. Gloria was the daughter of the late Willie Mae Day Miller and Leonard A. Miller, Sr., and was preceded in death by her Sisters, Tempest Storm, Janice M. Wickham, and Joyce M. Burch, and Brothers, Leonard Miller, Jr. and Eddie L. Miller. She is survived by her Husband; Son; Step-Children; 2 Grandchildren; Several Step-Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren; Brother; Sister-in-law; Nieces and Nephews; Numerous Cousins; Special Friends; Numerous extended family members. The family may be contacted at the Wise residence and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:00PM-3:00PM Sunday, September 10.
