Obituary
Lyman "Farmer" Brown, age 85, of Chauncey died Monday, June 22. 2009. in the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a m. on Thursday, June 25. 2009 in El Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Randall Tarpley, Rev. Curtis Wells and Rev. Gary Barnes officiating. Interment followed in Fair Haven Cemetery with full military honors.
Mr. Brown was born in Broken Bow, Nebraska, was a retired U. S. Anny Veteran of World War II. and a member of El Bethel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. June Kerns Brown and Lyman Brown: and his formr wife. Hazel Winnow Brown.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters; one son: one brother; 11 grandchildren; four step-children; 19 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
The family may be contacted at the Brown Residence and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2009. Flowers arc accepted und contributions are requested to Gideons International.
